Some things in life are just not fair. Like, just imagine you were born into a family where Angelina Jolie was your sister. Wouldn’t it just be such a nightmare? No matter how well you looked after yourself, you’d always be the ugly sister. All your boyfriends would get stolen, you could go missing for weeks and no one would notice.

I imagine this is what life is like for any purse in the Balenciaga family that is not the le Dix. No matter how beautiful and well formed, no matter how perfect your curves and licky your colour — you simply aren’t the le Dix, and you’ll constantly be overlooked.

Well, here on ArmCandy we like to think we’re a little more fair than that. This purse pictured here is not the le Dix, but dammit it’s still gorgeous. It’s the Balenciaga Twiggy bag in Seafoam, beautiful leather, classic Balenciaga tassles with both short handles and a nice long strap for all your carrying needs. What more could you ask for?

Balenciaga Suede

Balenciaga’s fall/winter line is gorgeous this year — I’m especially taken with the very beautiful brown suede they’ve incorporated for a few of their purses. I love brown suede in any case, because it has a timeless classic quality to it — unfortunately, when you live in a country where it rains a lot there is a danger of the purse becoming harmed.

For those lucky enough to reside in warmer climes, this purse would be a great addition to your current collection — it is a perfect daytime purse, flexible enough to suit any mood, plus it will add instant class to whatever outfit you wear.

Go on, you know you want it…

Ah, Balenciaga…

Remember when the Le Dix bag was sold out absolutely everywhere last year? Because I sure do. I went through hell trying to get my hands on one and came within seconds… seconds! of owning one before getting cruelly outbid.

Oh well… check out this baby. Acid pink Le Dix. Acid pink Balenciaga at the start of the fall and winter season, when we’re *supposed* to be drowning in blues and greens (which I *love* this season, especially the blues) and blacks and browns and tans.

It’s funny because usually when a certain label gets that popular that fast, it fizzles out and all of a sudden there are thousands of women with outdated bags they no longer know what to do with. This hasn’t been the case with the Le Dix; if anything it’s getting more popular (I remember an issue of Heat a few weeks ago where they gently chided Nicole Ritchie for appearing in public with two — the show off!).

Point is, this purse is not going anywhere anytime soon. You take away all the hoo-ha and the publicity and waiting lists and what are you left with…?

… Classic Balenciaga, which means, among other things, quality distressed leather so soft you could butter your bread with it, durability, style, expert craftsmanship and… oh, hell. It’s just so goddamn pretty I want to cry.
