Lulu Beauty
How hard is it not to fall in love with each and every item Lulu Guinness ever creates?
Impossible, I tell you! For instance, right now you are falling in love with this clutch purse. "But it has a strap!" I hear you cry. "Therefore it cannot be of the clutch family!"
But the strap is detachable, dear fashionista, and so if you feel like having a clutch day – just whip that strap off and use it for whatever else you might want it for.
Anyway! This purse is called the Beauty Comes From The Heart clutch from Lulu Guinness – a gorgeously embroidered little thing, with yet another of those cute little messages Lulu wants to remind us of:
"Beauty comes from the heart, not from a jar."
While I am not suggesting you throw away your jars of Creme De La Mer post-haste, it’s certainly a little slice of philosophy to put a smile on the face of the most hardened narcissist.
Lulu, we really *do* love you. Marry us!

Nancy Crocodile
I like it when a purse is imaginative enough to be a little bit of everything – and so well-designed that it’s pulled off without a hitch.
This bag here is the Woven Crocodile Tote from Nancy Gonzalez – a very striking crocodile purse with diagonal straps and a mesh underlay.
The design is almost a throwback to fifties-style checks, but the colour and sharpness are very modern-day burlesque. It’s a remarkably sexy purse, very ladies-lace-stocking and classy-bad-girl.
I love how this purse is a tote – totes are not known for being cutting edge and risque, but this one certainly is!
For the naughty girl inside every woman…

Ruched Veneta
Now here’s a very old-fashioned purse – it’s the Ruched Leather Clutch from Bottega Veneta.
It’s pretty much standard in terms of what one would expect from Veneta – gorgeously soft leather, loving craftsmanship and a timeless look.
What does set this purse apart is the very lovely silver brooch crowning the fastening, silver detail and a lovely blue suede lining.
A beautiful, luxurious little clutch – perfect for the season!
Veruka Jacobs
Every once in a rare while, a purse will come along that on first glance inspires pure, unadulterated falling-in-love joy.
This right here is one of those purses. It’s the Veruka Shopper (yes, another shopper!) from Marc Jacobs… and, oh my. Just take a look at it.
Everyday we feature purses that are seriously gorgeous, sophisticated expensive holy grail purses – and then along comes a bright red tote with a dark-haired Tim Burtonesque heroine on the front that just bowls us right over.
I love this bag. I love it because it is just absolutely positively hilarious, unique, individual, sharp, kooky (so very kooky!) and just… so funny!
How can anyone resist?!

Spadey Siena
I love when Kate Spade does stripes. It’s always different and addictively cute and, in this case, oh-so-retro.
This purse is the Kate Spade Siena Hadley, a beautiful, sporty cowhide tote with suede design. It’s named after the Siena in Tuscany, perfect for weekends away or just those days when you have a lot of stuff to carry around.
A gorgeous equestrian themed purse with the butteriest leather imaginable – add this to your tote collection!

Urban Donna
This here is the Urban Fusion Medium Shopper from DKNY.
First off, let me say how much I love bags called ‘shoppers’. The name is so cute and old fashioned and old ladyish – so when that name is matched with a label as cutting-edge as Donna Karan it’s very taking.
Now, the bag itself is pretty sweet. It’s made of nylon, with leather straps and silver hardware, with the DKNY links hanging seductively against the rustly ruche.
A bag that is understated in colour and anything but understated in style, it’s a great daytime bag for when you know you need a little extra room for, say, make up, or a secret purchase – but don’t want to risk a super-nice suede purse in the rain.
Very practical and very cool!

Faerie Lulu
On first glance, this looks like a silver locket up close, doesn’t it?
It’s actually a purse - a Lulu Guinness purse, no less. It’s the Faerie Wings Purse, a lovely silvery-suede creation covered in sequins.
Although marked as a daytime purse, this seems far more appropriate for night use – it really is such a shimmery, delicate thing.
Very unusual – but very beautiful.
That’s Lulu Guinness!

Canvas Spade
This sweet little canvas bag is called Idylwilde, after the CA mountain town – but the name always brings to mind Anne Of Green Gables to me.
It’s a versatile little purse, and can be worn either as a shoulder bag or as a slingy bag, with gold hardware and a hardy cotton canvas outer material.
The shape makes it stand out – it’s very unusual-looking, and very pretty indeed – a perfect springtime day purse.
Kate Spade, you can do no wrong!

Coach Mommies
In the spirit of this most holy of Mother’s Days, we’re doing something for the mothers – the Optic Signature Baby Bag from Coach.
It’s pink.
It’s pockety – both zipped and open.
It has a diaper changing pad.
It’s big.
It’s PINK!
It’s the perfect baby bag, just right for mothers, no matter how old you are.
And for the mothers of wee little boy babies – this bag will soon be available in a gorgeous silvery blue too.
Happy Mothers Day!

Sexy Smith!
Now here is an absolute stunner of a bag from Paul Smith.
It’s the Regent Mangrove Crescent Medium Hobo (honestly, these names are getting longer and longer), a very funky, very cute hobo that’s made of pinky peachy canvas with brown leather trim and brass hardware.
What you see is pretty much what you get with this purse – pockets, a little braiding, lots of stitching, some drawstring, and the timeless combination of pink and brown that always looks delicious.
It’s definitely a naughty bag – anything that looks so much like a silk-encased pert posterior is asking for attention – but naughty can very fun indeed…
Kudos to Paul Smith for their (his) first ArmCandy!
